Do you want to publish photos as an organization? With Cheese, you can easily and quickly obtain the permission you need from employees and contacts. You are GDPR compliant and take the privacy of individuals seriously.

PLAN
DESIGN PHASE.

Organizations are publishing more and more photos and/or videos through various channels. Since the introduction of the GDPR law, a photo is considered personal data and as an organization, you need to have permission for this. This can be quite an administrative hassle. It should be possible to do this in a smarter way, so the new business development team of Vialis approached Recognize to develop a new initiative: Cheese.

The collaboration was kicked off with Sprint 0. In Sprint 0, we ensure that there is a solid foundation for what we are going to develop. We engage in intensive discussions to determine the product vision, which target audience is central, but also which components have priority. The technical aspect is naturally taken into account as well. We design a system architecture that provides an overview of the application components and connected systems.

The team at Vialis found Sprint 0 to be very valuable. It helps to critically assess what the first version should contain in order to launch the digital solution altogether.

BUILD
DEVELOPMENT PHASE.

During the development phase, we actually start working on the proposed solution. The development of the app Cheese followed the agile working method. Every two weeks, the scrum team delivered a part of the solution.

The application is actually a pretty simple app but needs to comply with important privacy rules. The cyber security and privacy policies need to be worked out in detail. Additionally, we had a penetration test carried out to ensure that the application does not contain any vulnerabilities. We also paid extra attention to the UX design of the app.

The first version of the Cheese app is now ready! After an intensive collaboration, we and the team from Vialis are proud of the result. The Cheese application will help with getting the administration in order, but completely digitally.

By using the Cheese app, organizations can now easily invite employees or contacts with an email and the corresponding activity. Each activity or event has its own QR code, so that everyone can register and indicate their publication preferences. As a result, the organization can immediately see in the Cheese dashboard who has or hasn’t given permission for the use of the photos and videos.

The Cheese app is not only for execution. During the development phase, consideration was also given to the safeguarding of the media. A secure dashboard has been developed and the application is only accessible to invited guests.

RUN
MANAGEMENT PHASE.
